Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her career in show business in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she turned sixteen, she had secured prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also highly praised. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects over the years. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and The Cannes Film Festival.
