Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child from Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. She was praised for her performance as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge.
