Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director who is most well-known as the main character of Birdman. Being a multi-faceted actor, he is able to perform comedy and dramatic parts. A multi-faceted actor, he is also adept when it comes to dramatic and comedic roles. His passion for the performing arts started in his teens. He tried stand up comedy in his early 20s. While his stand-up comedy venture didn't go well however, it served as the basis to his acting career. He was unable to achieve fame as a comedian and the next step was to become a cameraman on a cable channel. In the course of working, he began to discover that he would like to appear present on camera. The TV role was agreed to and he appeared in several episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was an naturally talented actor and soon became popular on the television. Following the success of his acting career in film, his funny appearances brought him plenty of recognition. His fame grew by playing the titular superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. Being a mature actor the actor also began to explore into directing and producing. The 2014 Birdman film won him a number of nominations and awards.
